About the Dish
Ravan Pithla is a traditional Maharashtrian delicacy that consists of gram flour. Also known as Besan Pithla or Kanda Besan, it’s a hugely popular Maharashtrian dish and is very easy to make. Ravan Pithla is a age old delicacy, which was a quick fix for uninformed guests. The authenticity and drool-worthy taste comes from our chef’s family recipe. While it requires a few ingredients, it’s the perfect dish when you are feeling lazy.
How to Eat
Enjoy this dish with some rice-flour 'bhakri' (a type of flatbread) and some curd on the side. Break a bite sized piece from the bhakri, dip it in some pithla, try some curd after every bite if feeling a little hot, and enjoy the unique flavours. It's a mildly spicy delicacy that has a very soft texture. It's supposed to be enjoyed hot and can be eaten at lunch or dinner on a lazy day.
