About the Dish

Belgaon Kunda is a Maharashtrian delicacy, that consists of milk, khowa, and dry fruits. Also known as Belgavi Kunda, it originates from Belgaum, a city in Karnataka. Rajasthani families, known as Purohits, migrated in that city decades ago prepare this delicacy by setting up shops. Another story on Kunda is that, when Belgaon was a part of Shivaji Maharaj’s territory, it was a popular sweet among the royal members. Our chef uses her traditional family recipe, which makes it authentic and yummy.

How to Eat

The best way to eat is without any accompaniments as it tastes great by itself. It can be enjoyed hot, cold, or at room temperature as it has a grainy texture but immediately melts in your mouth. It's sweet treat that can be enjoyed as a dessert or as a midnight snack secretly!!
