About the Dish

Phirni, also known as kheer or payasam, is a Punjabi delicacy. It has its origins in the Middle East, mainly Persia, and it was the Mughals that brought it to India. There it was known as Sheer Birinj, which was the food of angels and was offered to the first Prophet Muhammad when he met God. Phirni has its cultural variations in India with kheer and payasam; however, it’s also popular in Iran, Turkey, and Egypt. Our chef uses her traditional recipe which makes this dish authentic and tasty.

How to Eat

To eat the dish properly, take a spoonful of bite and enjoy the sweet treat. The dish can be enjoyed hot or at room temperature as he phirni has a thick consistency. It can be eaten as a dessert after a meal to satisfy your cravings for something sweet.
