Gudshel is a traditional Marathi sweet dish. It is made with pumpkin, dry fruits, milk, cardamom, sugar, and saffron.

About the Dish

Gudshel is a traditional Maharashtrian delicacy, that consists of pumpkin, dry fruits, and milk. It’s a pretty rare dish and is popular during festivities and special occasions among Maharashtrians. Gudshel is our chef’s family recipe, which makes it authentic and tasty, and it’s ingredients make it a upwas-friendly delicacy. Since it contains pumpkin, it’s a healthy delicacy as pumpkin is rich in vitamins C and E, and iron and the addition of ghee helps in maintaining a soft skin.

How to Eat

The best way to eat it is without any accompaniments, since it has kheer like consistency and some dry fruits for crunch. It's supposed to be enjoyed hot and since it contains sugar, it's sweet. You can eat this sweet treat as a dessert after a meal or as a sneaky-snack all to yourself!!
