About the Dish

Muger Jalebi is a traditional Bengali delicacy, which is a twist on the classic crunchy jalebi. Also known as Muger Jilipi or Moong Dal Jalebi, it’s popular in the Eastern states of India. Muger Jalebi consists, mainly, of Moong dal and cardamom, but also has several variations in different cultures. Our chef uses her family recipe which she learnt from Midnapore district in West Bengal, which makes it authentic and yummy.

How to Eat

You can eat this dish without any accompaniments as it's covered with sugar syrup and crunchy, but not as crunchy as regular jalebi. It can be enjoyed hot or at room temperature and can be eaten as dessert or as a snack with guests.
