Chicken Angara, also known as Murg Angara, is a Punjabi delicacy that consists of Chicken prepared in a special masala. The term ‘angara’ is a hindi word meaning ‘burning coal’, as the dish has a smoky flavour to it. Chicken Angara is popular in North Indian restaurants, people in Pakistan usually prepare during special occasions. Chicken has certain benefits such as, it is rich in protein, promotes healthy bones, boosts immunity, and most importantly tastes delicious!!
How to Eat
The dish is supposed to be enjoyed hot as the chicken is tender and juicy. The dish has a thick gravy which has a smoky taste and is mildly spicy. The dish can be eaten with either steamed rice or with a flatbread of your choice and you can eat it at lunch or dinner with your family.
