Khaja is a very traditional sweet dish from the state of Bihar. Basically, these are layered fritters dunked in sugar. Khaja is classically made with Maida and deep fried in Desi Ghee. In the end, the fragrant saffron syrup is swiped over the dish to give it that extra marshmallow sweet taste. Ideal for festive occasions or even tea time. It may also be swiped with chocolate syrup or glazed with powdered sugar.
