About the Dish

Modak Rassa and Poli is a traditional Maharashtrian delicacy, which takes a twist on sweet modaks. Also known as Modak Amti, it’s a rare delicacy that’s popular throughout Maharashtra. Modak Rassa and Poli originates from the Khandesh region. It also takes inspiration from Varhadi cuisine making it an exotic delicacy. Our chef uses her family recipe, which makes it authentic and delicious.

How to Eat

You can eat this dish by breaking the modak, letting the gravy inside the modak, then break a bite sized piece of the poli (roti) and dip it in the gravy. It's a mildly spicy dish and the gravy has a thin consistency. It's supposed to be enjoyed hot and can be eaten at lunch or dinner.
