About the Dish

Sugar Thekua is a Bihari delicacy and is a popular festive sweet snack for Bihari community. Also known as Thokwa, Thekuwa, and Thekariis, it’s a famous delicacy also in Uttar Pradesh and Terai region of Nepal. Sugar Thekua acts as an offering or prasada to God during Chhath Puja and is one of the oldest sweets. Our chef makes this dish using her traditional recipe, which makes it authentic and yummy. The main thing is, its fried in ghee and contains no preservatives , which makes it easy to add to any diet.

How to Eat

The best way to eat it is by itself, that is, it doesn't require any accompaniment to enhance its taste. The dish can be enjoyed when it's hot or at room temperature and can be stored for a few days. It's a sweet delicacy that can be enjoyed as a dessert or as an evening snack.
