This dish is a classic dish which belongs to Bihar and has been made here for centuries together. Its popularity has also spawned to Uttar Pradesh and Nepal. Although the square origin is unknown, it is believed to have been made on the auspicious occasion of ChattPuja,celebrated with great fervour here.It is made from wheat flour, chaasni(sugar syrup) and topped with dollops of ghee. Jaggery and Cardmom are also added to give a special flavour. Once made, it can last upto three to four days without the use of refrigeration
