India is a land of diversity and I am but one such small example of it. I belong to a family from Uttar Pradesh who was born in Punjab and grew up in a boarding school here in Nagpur. Being from the North, my parents were huge food connoisseurs and my mom was an amazing cook. I loved her UP version of Kadhai Paneer. But growing up in a hostel with terrible food, I could only crave for it. Both of my parents were quite social so we had guests over all the time. My mother was a perfect hostess- she would make elaborate three course buffets with new trending dishes each time. From an early age only she taught me that a way to anybody’s heart is through their stomachs. So I learnt many of her patent dishes and desserts. Even after marriage, my mother and sister in laws taught me so many of their dishes. I learnt something from each positive remark, and got bettered with each critic. My cooking journey has been one of constant learning and upping my skills. Through Nativ Chefs I want to spread my epicurean knowledge and keep making places in people’s heart through their stomachs.
