Description
Dhokar Dalna is a traditional Bengali delicacy consisting ‘lentil cakes’ mixed in a tomato-based gravy. Also known as dhoka, it’s one of the pillars of the ‘Niramish’ (Vegetarian) Bengali cuisine. The ‘Dhoka’ consist of soaked chana dal, which are then ground and shaped. Although the dish is popular during Noboborsho (Bengali New Year), it is also similar to the Maharashtrian Rassa Patodi. Moreover, our chef can prepare this delicacy with and without the use of onions and garlic.
