Dal Dhokli, also known as chakolya or varan phal, is a Gujarati delicacy. It’s also a common delicacy in states of Rajasthan and Maharashtra with their own variations. Dal Dhokli consists of two components, that is, dal which has lentils and dhokla, made of wheat flour. It’s basically a one-pot meal that is very versatile and healthy. Our chefs uses her traditional recipe to prepare this dish which makes this dish super yummy.

To eat it best, dal dhokli can be eaten by itself or with an accompaniment of your choice like a flatbread or some steamed rice. The dish is supposed to be enjoyed hot as it has a thick gravy. The dish is mildly spicy and can be eaten any time of the day depending on your preference.
